Can AI Predict the Future?
This workshop gets you started using neural networks to forecast time-series data. At the end of the program, you will be up to speed with the challenges peculiar to forecasting and become familiar with some powerful tools for forecasting.
The climax of the workshop is a challenge: Short-Horizon Prediction of Stock Prices. You will be given the task of predicting the stock price of selected companies, 15-minutes, 30-minutes and 60-minutes into the future.
Participants will be required to work in groups of 3-5 to solve this challenge. Your stock prediction models will make virtual trades and ranked on a leaderboard.

If you've never done any computer coding before, good news! We designed this bootcamp specifically for those without programming experience!
REAL-WORLD AI FORECASTS
By the end of this program, you will be familiar with end-to-end forecasting development pipeline and able to create your own financial forecasting models.
MENTORED BY AI EXPERTS
The programme has a "demo day" where all solutions are reviewed by our experts and a "Finale" where everyone can get insightful feedback from experts and other teams.

Program Outline
LEARN & BUILD (2-4 Aug)
All participants learn neural networks and forecasting concepts through self-pace videos and virtual mentorships from AI Experts.
CONTEST (5 Aug)
All participants need to submit a stock forecasting model. The models will make virtual trades against live data. The results will be displayed on the leaderboard. The top 5 teams with highest profits will be selected to Finale.
FINALE (6 Aug)
Selected teams will present their results live over Zoom. The teams who showcase excellent results and presentation will be given a Certificate of Excellence.
How to Register?
1. Register at AI Technology Summer School 2021 (AITSS 2021). This bootcamp is only open to AITSS 2021 participants.
2. After successful AITSS 2021 Registration, fill in the AI for Stock Forecasting Bootcamp registration form below. There are only 100 slots available for the participants. We will prioritize participants who register early and showcase strong motivation and commitment to do their best during this bootcamp.
The registration deadline is 29 July 2021. We will announce the selected Bootcamp participants on 31 July 2021.
